A key focus of research is to develop biomarkers for the improved risk-stratification of HPV infection. Another key remit of the research group is the setup and management of the Scottish HPV Archive. The archive serves as a biobank residual samples including but not confined to cervical liquid based cytology (LBC) samples and DNA from the cervical screening programme. The samples are well annotated with clinical data and have approval for use in research. With regular quality assessments, we aim to provide researchers with a vital resource to improve the way we detect and manage HPV associated disease.Group MembersMembers NameRoleTelephoneEmail Dr Ramya Bhatia Honorary Research FellowClinical Scientist+44 (0)131 242 6005Email Ramya BhatiaHana ElasiferCo-ordinator, Scottish HPV Archive+44 (0)131 242 6625Email Hana ElasiferSharon MoncurResearch Technician+44 (0)131 242 6625Email Sharon MoncurCollaboratorsScottish HPV Reference LaboratoryScottish HPV Investigator's NetworkProf Juergen Haas (University of Edinburgh)Prof Maggie Cruickshank (University of Aberdeen)Prof Sheila Graham (University of Glasgow)Prof Marc Arbyn (Belgian Cancer Centre / Unit of Cancer Epidemiology)Dr Belinda Nedjai (Queen Mary University of London)Dr Jesper Bonde (Copenhagen University Hospital, Hvidovre)Prof J O Leary & the Cerviva Group (The Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital& Trinity College, Dublin)Web LinksFull publication listSelected PublicationsCuschieri K, Pan J, O Donnell M, Kirkwood K, Kavanagh K, Pollock KG, Bhatia R, Graham SV, Wakeham K.
