Tao McCready

Tao has suffered with fatigue, headaches, painful bowel movements and unexplained pains since she was 13 years old.  After multiple misdiagnoses, the only avenue left for her to take was her fertility.  It was the only symptom she presented with that the GP had to follow up. Tao received her formal diagnosis from the Pelvic Pain Team in 2017 at the age of 30 years old (17 years after her symptoms began).

In 2019 she founded the Facebook Page 'Endo SOS', becoming the first endometriosis charity for the South of Scotland in June 2023.  Endo SOS hosts regular webinars with medical professionals and offers support and guidance to people affected by endometriosis.  The charity works closely with EXPPECT.

Her passion is to raise awareness about endometriosis in Scotland, to support people affected by the condition and to promote a stronger voice in Parliament advocating for those who suffer from endometriosis.
