What is the DIPLOMATIC Study? Funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), DIPLOMATIC is a Global Health Research Group based in the UK, Malawi and Zambia.The aim of DIPLOMATIC is to reduce preterm birth and stillbirth and to optimise outcomes for babies born preterm in Malawi and Zambia. The project will run from 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2021. The DIPLOMATIC Team Meet the team behind the DIPLOMATIC study. Work Packages The DIPLOMATIC project is composed of eight interlocking Work Packages, with cross cutting capacity building in clinical trial methodology, database design and analysis, improvement science, and education in Malawi and Zambia. TUDA Prevention and treatment of preterm birth requires accurate assessment of gestational age during pregnancy. This is best achieved through Ultrasound Scanning (US) measurements prior to 24 weeks gestation.
